PF deputy spokesperson Frank Bwalya was yesterday attacked by suspected UPND supporters in Monze after speaking on a programme on Sky FM.
PF member of the media committee Vincent Mwansa said that Bwalya was attacked around 15:40 hours as he was leaving the radio station.
He said Bwalya had sought medical attention at Monze General Hospital after reporting the matter to police.
“We were first at Chikuni Radio and after the programme there, we went to Sky FM where he appeared on another programme. Now after the programme, there were three guys waiting outside, and that is how they attacked him. Right now he is being attended to by the doctor,” said Mwansa.
However, a Sky FM staff said Bwalya was beaten while the programme was on.
“It was in the middle of the programme when cadres stormed the conference room where Bwalya was and started beating him. That is what happened,” said the employee who declined to be named.
